Updated the plugin with a very small feature request, this needs proper testing to see it works in all possible pipelines.
The script now renames the newly created loaders to the channel prefix of the group it contains (so SPEC:specular.camera.R,G,B,A creates a Loader with SPEC as name)
Awesome script! Saves a lot of time and space.
For my own usage, I added a few lines that tack sRGB Gamut nodes onto the Output of each one of the channels. Works like a charm! It was my first exercise in Fusion scripting, actually. Your notes in the script helped me to understand the process.
